For about the three last months I was a member of the Organizing Team of the biggest Photography and Videography Convention in Greece for Professional Photographers!

I am talking about the Capture Convention, which is being held in Thessaloniki by the Society of Professional Photographers and Videographers of Central Macedonia (where I am a member of the board) and the Union of Photographers of Central West Macedonia. These organizations for Professional Photographers and Videographers are the Official Unions in Greece for these specific geographical areas.

It is the third time that Capture Convention is held in Thessaloniki (2019, 2020), this time with a new name, Capture (a great word that is used both in photography and videography), and a brand new website.

During this long and difficult progress I created the Convention’s website, I managed the social media (Facebook and Instagram) and I wrote the articles and edited the images that we had to post.

This was one very difficult task, not away from my comfort zone (as chief in editor and creator of the no1 photography and videography website in Greece, pttlgr, I am used to it) but away from what I like to do, which is shooting Nature, Wildlife and Landscape images.

During the Convention, which was held from 10 to 13 February, I was part of a great Photo and Video team and had to make sure that every important moment was captured. I also did the coordination of the first day’s speeches, a day that was dedicated to Photogaphy and Videography students and who ever wants to start professional in Image Creation and the mini interviews of our Sponsors.

Above all that, pttlgr was the only Media Sponsor (for third time) for Capture Convention!

I want to give my respect to everybody in the organizing team and among them to Giannis Loizou, Christos Fisekis, Christos Konstantinidis, Iraklis Soliopoulos and Dimitris Kontsidis, who I worked very close.

Of course there is always room for improvement as nobody is perfect, and I hope my and our mistakes in this event were minor and unimportant!

I believe that the 2024 Convention will be even better!
