After a long time not writing on this blog I am coming back with a post about a software that has impressed me a lot.
As a nature, landscape and wildlife photographer, one of the biggest challenges I have encounter is shooting in low light (as it is for all kind of photographers).
Especially in Wildlife Photography (in landscape images I almost always use a tripod), in low light you need to increase the ISO of your camera, to achieve faster shutter speeds and nail the image of an animal in motion. That means more digital noise in your images.
And although almost every software has a function for reducing noise in an image (Photoshop, Lightroom etc), Topaz Labs and its Topaz DeNoise AI (Artificial Intelligence) deliver great results.
At this point I must say that this post is not sponsored by Topaz Labs and that I have bought Topaz Denoise AI as a regular customer.
But great is great and the results I get from DeNoise AI are so impressive that I found myself using the software on most of my low light wildlife images.
I don’t want to get too technical, so I will just quote what Topaz Labs say about this software:
DeNoise AI uses a fundamentally new approach called deep learning: after a lengthy process of learning from millions of images, DeNoise AI learned to accurately distinguish between real image detail and noise. This allows you to denoise images while actually recovering important detail, something that would have been impossible just a few years ago.
So Artificial Intelligence comes to the rescue of our images and this is more than welcome!
Not much more to say about this great software, I suggest you try it for free and see if it is ok for your images. Take a look here.
Feel free to comment if you have found something better or if you use Topaz DeNoise AI and you have any tips.
See you out there!
